College Sports Roundup: Dartmouth nine's win streak reaches six

The Dartmouth baseball team scored in each of the first seven innings en route to a 12-2 victory over St. Anselm College on Wednesday in Hanover. Junior Jeff Keller and sophomore Matt Parisi each had three hits for Dartmouth, which extended its winning streak to six games and raised its overall record to 23-6.

Daniel Webster 4/11, Southern Vermont 3/0: Strong pitching led Daniel Webster College to a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) doubleheader sweep. Daniel Webster improved to 19-6 overall.

St. Michael's 8, SNHU 2: At Colchester, Vt., St. Michael's broke open a 3-2 game with five runs in the sixth inning en route to an 8-2 Northeast-10 baseball victory over Southern New Hampshire University. The Purple Knights improve to 10-19 and 3-8 in the NE-10's Northeast Division, while the Penmen are now 25-11 and 8-4 in divisional play.



Softball



Middlebury 4/6, Plymouth State 2/1: At Middlebury, Vt., Middlebury extended its winning streak to 13 game and improved to 18-6 overall with this doubleheader sweep. Plymouth State, which had won five in a row and seven of its last eight, dropped to 20-13 overall.

SNHU 2/5, Franklin Pierce 0/0: The Southern New Hampshire softball team swept Franklin Pierce University in a Northeast-10 doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. With the win the Penmen improve to 20-9 while the Ravens fall to 6-20.



Women's lacrosse



UNH 13, Boston University 12: At Durham, Jenny Simpson and Nicole Grote recorded four points apiece to propel UNH to this America East victory. UNH improved to 5-9 overall and climbed into a tie with BU in the America East conference standings with a 2-3 league record.

St. Anselm 16, St. Michael's 10: Sophomore Marissa Daly recorded seven points and freshman Caitlin Villareal potted a career-best five goals for the winners.

Colby-Sawyer 19, Green Mountain 7: The Chargers raised their record to 6-7 overall and 4-1 in the North Atlantic Conference with this league victory.

Men's tennis

SNHU 5, AIC 1: At Manchester, Southern New Hampshire was victorious in the first round of the Northeast-10 Championship. The Penmen improved to 13-7 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
