NHIAA Roundup: Merrimack's Wojciak throttles South

Matt Wojciak took a no-hitter into the seventh inning as Merrimack beat Nashua South, 8-1, on Monday in Division I baseball.
Wojciak fanned 15 before allowing Matt Detrich's hit, then a sacrifice fly by Matt Byers in the seventh.
Mickey Gaspar notched a pair of doubles and two runs batted in for Merrimack, and Brendan Holt added two hits and three RBIs.
Pembroke 3, Lebanon 1: In Pembroke, the hosts received RBI singles from Shane St. Onge and Seth Gonya in the first inning and never looked back. Autrey Gates (2-0) went six solid innings for the win and Alex Martinez earned his first varsity save. The Spartans improved to 3-0.
Bedford 6, Salem 5: At Bedford, Andy Lalonde went 3-for-3 and reached four times, and the Bulldogs scored one run in the bottom of the seventh for the win at Riley Field. Reliever Ben Philbrick went three innings, allowing one run on two hits, to earn the win. Bedford starter Christian Josef pitched four innings, yielding two earned runs on one hit. Salem leadoff hitter drew three walks and scored for the Blue Devils (1-2). Bedford improved to 1-2.
Hollis/Brookline 2, John Stark 1: At Weare, pitchers combined for 23 strikeouts in a Division II battle at John Stark Regional on Monday. John Stark scored its only run on a squeeze play, and Hollis/Brookline (3-0) rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh and held on for the win.
Nashua North 8, Winnacunnet 6: At Nashua, winning pitcher Kyle McCarthy worked 5-1/3 innings and racked up eight strikeouts as the Titans improved to 2-0. Mike Robert went 3-for-4 and Brendan Martin scored twice to lead the Nashua North offense. Winnacunnet of Hampton moved to 0-2.
Exeter 4, Central 0: At Manchester, Ethan Joyce pitched a complete game and allowed five hits, notching 10 strikeouts with no walks at Gill Stadium. Ty Mezquita and Jake Boria had two hits apiece for Exeter (1-1). Central is 0-3.
Trinity 3, Dover 1: At Dover, senior lefthander Alex Currier struck out 10 and walked four en route to a four-hitter over six innings for the Pioneers (3-1). Ryan Boldwin highlighted a three-run, third inning with a two-run single. Connor Walsh registered the seventh inning save. Ryan Hayden drove in a fourth inning run with a single.
Raymond 9, Epping 1: In Epping, Division III Raymond defeated Division IV Epping 9-1. Losing pitcher John Boomhower allowed eight hits in four innings and allowed nine runs. Shane Browne had the only hit for the Blue Devils.
Goffstown 10, ConVal 7: In Peterborough, Connor Benjamin highlighted an eight-run, fourth inning rally for Goffstown (3-0) with a three-run homer. Pat Viviers, Zach Storro and Adam Routhier each had two hits for the winners. Tanner Putnam fanned seven batters in six innings.
ConVal 6, Goffstown 0: In Peterborough, freshman pitcher Courtney Fisher limited the Grizzlies.
Merrimack 13, Nashua South 6: In Merrimack, Shaylyn Freitas had three hits for South (1-2) in a losing effort.
Timberlane 6, Pinkerton 2: In Derry, winning pitcher Kate Hoadley fanned 12 batters. On offense the Owls were led by Madison Bishop who had two doubles and two RBIs. Lauren Phillips drove in two runs for 0-2 Pinkerton. Caroline Salveneschi slugged a solo homer in the first inning when the Owls (3-0) scored five times.
Manchester Central 9, Exeter 3: In Exeter, Sarah Lavallee allowed four hits and one run in five innings for the mound win. Central (2-1) banged out 15 hits led by Celina Therrien with three and Colleen O'Hara with three. O'Hara hit two homers and drove in four runs. Alexis Lievens had a homer for Central. Amanda Anderson drove in two runs for 1-1 Exeter.
Gilford 6, Laconia 2: At Laconia, Sydney Strout recorded 13 strikeouts and scattered four hits to earn the mound victory. Lisa Osborne went 4-for-4 as the Golden Eagles improved to 2-1. Laconia is now 2-2.
Bishop Guertin 10, Keene 1: In Keene, senior Kenzi Marr pitched the first three innings and went 2-for-4 at the plate. Kristina Haghdan pitched no-hit ball over the final four innings, with 11 strikeouts.
Exeter 14, Souhegan 10: In Amherst, Don Littleman scored five goals while Jim Young and Gavin Angolino each had three goals for the 1-2 Blue Hawks. Mack Walker and Mitch Hale combined for seven goals for 2-1 Souhegan.
Nashua South 13, Windham 5: In Windham, Division I Nashua South (1-0) beat Division III Windham behind three goals from Dan Auger, Pat Goff and Louis Alexanian. Anthony Galo scored three goals for 0-3 Windham.
Londonderry 19, Memorial 0: Nick Yennaco and Rob Hart scored four goals each to lead the visitors to the shutout win in Manchester.
Bishop Guertin 15, Concord 2: Nine players scored for visiting Bishop Guertin (2-1) in its rout of Concord. Tom Hurley and Mitch Burke led the way with three goals each. Concord is 0-3.
Pinkerton 14, Salem 2: In Salem, Jake Lisauskas tallied two goals and added four assists to lead 3-1 Pinkerton. Joshua Gallant, Dominic Corsetto and Todd Billetter each added two goals. Pinkerton goalie Cam Hayward had six saves against 1-2 Salem.
Bedford 21, Goffstown 10: In Bedford, the Bulldogs (3-0) remained unbeaten behind six goals from Dan Colella. Teammates Jason Campbell and Tyler Sullivan each tallied four goals. Logan Allard and Jack Carney each scored four goals for Goffstown (1-1).
Bishop Guertin 18, Timberlane 3: At Plaistow, the Cardinals dominated the ground game as Callie Santos had six draw controls and four ground balls. Caley Prunier scored three goals with six ground balls, and Averi Farhat had one goal and caused three turnovers. BG improved to 2-0, while the Owls dropped to 0-3.
Hollis/Brookline 11, Nashua South 1: At Hollis, the Cavaliers took a 7-0 lead into halftime behind strong performances by Danielle Cambray, Meg Sweeney and Fiona Kennedy. Sydney MacLeod and Erin Shields also had goals for Hollis/Brookline (2-2), and netminder Erin Turner made seven saves.
Goffstown 12, Keene 11: At Keene, Ellen Malloy led Keene's scoring with three goals, while Emily Carbonara and Emily Davis each scored twice. The Grizzlies improved to 2-1 and handed Keene its first loss.
Pinkerton 15, Salem 3: At Derry, Kennedy Daziel and Maggie McCarthy each scored four goals for the Astros (2-1). Salem falls to 0-1.
Souhegan 15, Exeter 10: In Exeter, Souhegan (2-0) was led by Madison Learned who had five goals and four assists. Mickenzie Larivee added four goals and four assists while Jesse Jay added three goals.
