Five-run uprising dooms Fisher Cats in New Britain

The New Britain Rock Cats erupted for five sixth-inning runs to defeat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-3, on Monday in New Britain, Conn.

Reynaldo Rodriguez's two-run double was the big hit in the inning off Fisher Cats starter and loser Marcus Walden (0-2). Walden allowed five runs, four earned, and 11 hits in five-plus innings.

Sean Ochinko hit a two-run homer in the ninth for the Fisher Cats, who brought the tying run to the plate to the ninth. But Michael Tonkin got Kenny Wilson to ground out to end it.

The teams play again tonight in New Britain at 6:35 p.m.
