NH resident reports no cell phone access to Boston

A New Hampshire man whose father works in Boston said there is no access into the city via cell phone.

Merrimack resident Ray Gravelle said his 33-year-old daughter called him from a landline to let him know she was OK. She works on Boylston Street about a block from the finish line, Gravelle said. Cell phone coverage was impossible, he said.

The street are gridlocked, and people are walking on the roads, he said.

"She and her work companions are walking out of Boston," he said.
