HOPKINTON -- Christin Doneski wasn't happy about sitting out the Boston Marathon after tearing a hamstring, but on Monday her husband, James, said he was glad to have his wife safe at home.
Christin Doneski has run the marathon numerous times in the past and had been training for months for this year's race, but damage to her hamstring thwarted those plans.
"As a husband, I'm quite happy that she couldn't run this year," said James Doneski. "I would have been a wreck."
Doneski said that he and his wife have been reaching out to friends who were running the marathon today, and said that all of them were safe.
