Hampton man, 70, charged after shot fired

HAMPTON - A 70-year-old local man was arrested Friday on charges he shot a gun at another person.Police said James Clark was working on property on Lafayette Road and became involved in a dispute with the property owner over the work and payment terms. Clark allegedly pointed a gun at the other person, whom police did not name, and fired the weapon shortly before 3:30 p.m. Friday.
