Four arrested after firing gunshots off I-93
MANCHESTER - Four men who allegedly fired several gunshots near Interstate 93 on Saturday were arrested on felony charges of reckless conduct.
Police said Sherif Hashem, 31, of Boston, Bryan Sola, 33, of Southington, Conn., and Sean Kelly and Adam Kelly, both of Windham, were firing an assortment of weapons in a wooded area between Bodwell Road and I-93 about 4 p.m. Saturday.
The men were shooting in the direction of the interstate, police said.
Police Sgt. John Patti said police did not believe the men were trying to hit drivers. He said their target was 86 yards away from a berm just off the interstate.
"They were very careless and reckless in erecting a target so close to the highway and shooting in the direction of the highway," Patti said.
