Photo exhibit at Nashua library

NASHUA - "Decade of Decay," an exhibit of photography by Dan Marshall, is on display in the Nashua Public Library Image Gallery in March and April.

Marshall shot the photos, ranging from a church in Michigan to a state hospital in Georgia, in various abandoned places he has explored over the last 10 years. They depict what happens to buildings when they have been forgotten and nature is allowed to run its course.

The project began when Marshall was 17, in an old Massachusetts state hospital that his friend talked him into investigating.

Since that day he has photographed jails, factories, asylums, and theaters, to name a few locations. Marshall is a self-taught photographer from Litchfield.

The exhibit can be viewed during normal library hours: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The library is located at 2 Court St. For directions and information on parking go to
