Cigarettes, lottery tickets taken in theft
MANCHESTER - Cigarettes and lottery-ticket money were stolen from a neighborhood market overnight Sunday, after a culprit through a rock through the front glass door to gain entry, police said.
An alarm at AMP Market, 384 Massabesic St., activated at 2:10 a.m. Monday, police said. Cigarettes were stolen from a display and cash was taken from a lottery register.
Manchester man arrested after foot chase
MANCHESTER - A Manchester man was arrested late Saturday night after a footchase throught the center city, police said.
Officer Matt Jajuga started the footchase after recognizing Quincy Flynn, 40, at the corner of Lake Avenue and Union Street. Flynn was wanted on a warrant from New York State. After a chase through back alleys, Jajuga caught up with Flynn behind the Seven Days Market at 360 Union St.
Flynn was charged with being a fugitive from justice, resisting detention, resisting arrest and possession of cocaine.
