Merrimack candidates for office face candidates night

MERRIMACK - Candidates for town council and school board will be participating in a public forum on Monday, and citizens are encouraged to attend. Each year, the Exchange Club of Merrimack hosts its annual candidates night, which will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at the Merrimack Town Hall.

Residents are welcome to attend, meet the candidates and ask questions. Seeking two slots on the town council are incumbent Dan Dwyer and former councilor David Yakuboff. Councilor Jackie Flood has decided not to seek re-election.

Vying for two slots on the school board are incumbent Chris Ortega, incumbent Shannon Barnes and Gary Krupp, member of the school district budget committee.

Election Day is April 9, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at James Mastricola Upper Elementary School, 26 Baboosic Lake Rd.
