NASHUA - A Franklin man is accused of stealing more than $1,500 in jewelry from a Nashua home where he was installing hardwood floors. The theft occurred about two years ago, police said.

Shawn Cornell, 32, of 672 Central St., was arrested Monday morning and charged with one count of theft by unauthorized taking, a Class A felony.

The jewelry was reported stolen on May 10, 2011.

Lt. Michael Moushegian said Cornell pawned the jewelry, resulting in transaction reports being generated and which are tracked by police.

What's next: Cornell was released on $550 cash/$10,000 personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
