Crews knock down electrical fire in Londonderry

LONDONDERRY — Firefighters made quick work of a fire on Shenandoah Avenue early Sunday.
Fire crews were called to 5 Shenandoah Ave. at 5:36 a.m., where they encountered smoke coming from the front of the building. All occupants were out of the building, and the fire was contained to a single room on the lower level.
The fire was knocked down at 5:58 a.m., with minor smoke and water damage to the building's interior. No injuries were reported.
Londonderry Fire Marshal Brian Johnson determined the cause to be electrical. Mutual aid crews from Derry, Litchfield and Manchester covered Londonderry's three stations.
