Hooksett man charged with shoplifting at Kohl's

HOOKSETT — A Hooksett man was arrested Saturday on a shoplifting charge.
At 11:30 a.m. Saturday Hooksett police were called to Kohl's department store at 200 Quality Drive. Police said the store's loss prevention personnel said they observed Joshua Benton, 24, of Hooksett, hiding an item under his clothing and allegedly attempting to walk out after paying for several other items.
Benton was stopped by loss prevention personnel and brought back into the store, police said.
Benton was released on personal recognizance bail of $1,500, and is due in court April 10.
