WOLFEBORO -- Fire destroyed a home on York Road on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Wolfeboro Fire Rescue Chief Butch Morrill, no one was injured in the blaze that was reported at 175 York Road at 3:27 p.m. The homeowner told emergency responders that he had left the home in the morning, and returned to find the house had burned down. Access to the home was severely limited by mud, according to Morrill.
Firefighters cleared the fire scene by 5:46 p.m. Wolfeboro-Fire Rescue Department personnel and an investigator from the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's office are looking into the cause of the fire.
Tuftonboro Fire-Rescue, Stewart's Ambulance Service, the Wolfeboro Public Works Department assisted the Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department at the scene. Tuftonboro Fire-Rescue provided station coverage to Wolfeboro Central Station.
