Race car education amendment comes up short in Lee

LEE – A petition article to amend the town's racetrack ordinance failed by a mere five votes Tuesday.

Article 3, which would have defined "race car education" as a full-licensed and insured school, lost 471-456.

Carole Dennis received 505 votes to earn a three-year seat as selectman over challengers Scott Bugbee and Henry Brackett, who received 267 and 110 votes, respectively.
