Nursing homes and hospices have a place along major corridors in Madbury, voters say

MADBURY – Elderly facilities will now be allowed along major corridors in town after residents amended the local zoning ordinance Tuesday.

Article 2 – which would allow nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospices in the agricultural district along Routes 9, 108 or 155 – passed 203-138.

Robert Sterndale defeated Julie McCabe, 169-144, for the three-year seat as a selectman.
