Police: Hooksett man arrested for trying to break
into his own home

HOOKSETT— Police say a Hooksett man got himself arrested early Saturday morning after trying to break into his own home using a screwdriver during a domestic dispute.
George Kimionakis, 60, was charged with resisting arrest and criminal mischief (domestic violence-related) after police were called to 85 Mammoth Road shortly after midnight for a report of a man trying to get through the back door with a screwdriver. While police were on their way to the scene, the caller reported that the man had gotten inside the house and a "verbal argument" was taking place.
When Officer Michael Zappala arrived at the home, he confronted a man who was leaving the house through the back door and attempted to arrest him. When the man would not comply with the officer, Zappala took him "to the ground" and into custody, according to a press release.
Police later identified the man as Kimionakis and learned he lives at that address and is married to the woman who reported the "break-in."
Kimionakis was released on $7,000 personal recognizance bail pending a court hearing on April 10 in 6th Circuit Court, Hooksett district.
