MANCHESTER - The New Hampshire High Tech Council has formed an alliance with the Bio/Medical Council to create a new industry cluster that will host a series of forum events to serve the bio/medical sector throughout New Hampshire, the groups announced this week.

Additionally, Paula Newton, former president of the New Hampshire Bio/Medical Council, has joined the council's board of directors and will help guide the new bio/medical forum.

The NHBC wound down its operations in 2012 after its former leadership crafted an arrangement with the council to ensure that former members would have a collective voice. A volunteer committee composed of former NHBC board members, current council board members and other industry representatives will lead the new forum group. The council has offered complimentary 2013 memberships to former NHBC members.
