When every word counts
The 60th annual New Hampshire State Spelling Bee, sponsored by the New Hampshire Union Leader, will be held Saturday at Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. Nearly 200 of the state's top elementary and middle school spellers will be put to the test. The student who emerges as the top speller will represent the Granite State at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., in May.
