Solar installers seek change in state's renewable energy standard

They testified Thursday before the House Science Energy and Technology Committee in favor of a bill that would reverse changes made by the Legislature last year in the state's Renewable Energy Portfolio standards. That measure put solar energy in the same category as other new sources of renewable generation -- everything from biomass plants to burning methane gas of landfills to windmills.
