New Hampshire Club Notes
MANCHESTER - Manchester Women's Club members say they were treated to an entertaining comedy performance by members of the Maskers, Manchester High School Central's drama club, during a recent luncheon and business meeting.
Students performed a show titled "Spaghetti Proposal."
The women's club also presented its $400 Drama Award to the school club. The award is given yearly to one public high school drama group on a rotating basis.
At the club's next monthly luncheon meeting on Friday, March 1, Robert Dionne, a singer and the artistic director of the Majestic Theatre in Manchester, will give a performance, and Steven Finnegan, emergency management director of Elliot Hospital, will speak to the group about Go Kits. The gathering will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a social hour in The Puritan Backroom restaurant's Pappas Room.

Applications available for Bedford club's scholarships
BEDFORD - The Bedford Women's Club is offering a college scholarship for a high school senior who is a Bedford resident, as well as a scholarship for a Bedford woman who is a nontraditional student.
The Josephine A. Fearon Scholarship for high school seniors was established by Mrs. Fearon, an educator and president of the Bedford Women's Club in the mid-1940s.
In the 1990s, the club added nontraditional students to its scholarship program. Bedford women who are not of a traditional age for school and who are enrolled in a post-secondary degree program are invited to apply for this scholarship.
Both applications may be found by going to www.bedfordwomensclub.org and clicking on downloads. Completed applications, including attachments, must be received by April 1.
The criteria for high school seniors include scholarship (transcript required), extracurricular activities, community service and financial need. Students are urged to check the club's website to be sure they are completing a current application.
The criteria for women who are nontraditional students include admission to a program in an accredited school, a personal statement, financial need, community involvement and work experience.

NH Parrot Head Club to meet Wednesday
MANCHESTER -The New Hampshire Parrot Head Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jokers Bar & Bistro, 1279 S. Willow St., for a monthly meeting and social.
The club is one of 200 nonprofit Parrot Head clubs whose purpose is to assist community and environmental concerns and to provide a variety of social activities for fans of singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle and attitude he personifies.

Holistic Moms Network plans chocolate-tasting
AMHERST - The Hillsborough County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network is hosting a chocolate-tasting during its next meeting from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Spinal Corrective Center, 1 Overlook Drive.
Women will be able to sample various chocolates, including some organic and fair trade, along with a cup of tea. The group will supply tea and hot water; those attending should bring a travel mug.
The evening, which is open to nonmembers, also offers a chance to learn about the network and share conversation with other like-minded moms.

The Holistic Moms Network is a nonprofit support and educational resource network for parents with an interest in natural health, holistic living and mindful parenting.
