Reason for submarine commander firing still unclear
KITTERY, Maine - The reasons remain unclear Monday as to why the commanding officer of a submarine drydocked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard was relieved of duty Friday - although he is the most recent of a significant number of U.S. Navy commanding officers who have faced a similar fate in recent years.
