Venerable Model T, outfitted with an adapter kit to handle winter, beats modern snowmobiles

In 1913 in the snowy state of New Hampshire, a businessman and car dealer by the name of Virgil White recognized the challenges of motoring in the winter. To combat the problem, he designed a system of tracks and skis to fit Model T Fords. These kits were $400, about the same price as the cars themselves, yet they apparently sold quite well. An interesting fact is that a Model T Snow Flyer led the funeral procession of U.S. president Calvin Coolidge in Vermont in March 1926. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyIwYU3P-9s
