Goffstown man identified as fatality in New Boston crash, Litchfield woman recovering
NEW BOSTON - Police have released the identities of the two drivers involved in a fatal car accident on Route 13 on Friday evening.
According to Sgt. Richard Widener of the New Boston Police Department, Roger R. Cranshaw was heading south on Route 13 in his black 2002 Jeep Wrangler when his vehicle crossed the center line running head-on into a silver 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Kristina Adams.
Emergency responders were called to the scene around 5:20 pm and found Cranshaw, 69, of 19A Sudeka Lane in Goffstown unresponsive and immediately started CPR. Cranshaw was then transported to Catholic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Adams, 45, of 507 Charles Bancroft Highway, Litchfield, was likely saved serious injury by her seatbelt and airbags, said Widener. She was transported to Catholic Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Route 13 was closed for close to three hours while the department's accident reconstruction team surveyed the wreckage.
Widener said it did not appear that alcohol or excessive speed were factors in the crash, however it's not clear yet if Cranshaw experienced some sort of medical event prior to the accident. Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to call the New Boston police Department at 603-487-2433.
