Ashland selectmen have had enough of public comment at meetings; from now on, put it in writing

ASHLAND After a particularly rancorous selectman's meeting on December 3, board Chair Jeanette Stewart took the recommendation of the town administrator and put a stop to the public comment portion of future meetings. "Unfortunately, in recent weeks it's turned into a circus," he said yesterday. "We lost civility. Part of our job is to restore civility."


To improve the chance of seeing your comment posted here or published in the New Hampshire Union Leader:

  • Identify yourself. Accounts using fake or incomplete names are suspended regardless of the quality of posts.
  • Say something new, stay on topic, keep it short.
  • Links to outside URLs are discouraged, if used they should be on topic.
