Pittsfield crash injures five

PITTSFIELD - Five people were injured Friday when their minivan hit a tree, according to the Pittsfield Fire Department.

The accident happened about 5:20 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Catamount and Governors roads, a Pittsfield Fire release said. Initial reports that a fuel truck was involved were false, the release said.

Four people were taken by ambulance to Concord Hospital, while another person was flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for treatment of injuries, the release said. The Fire Department did not identify any of the five involved in the crash...
