Alleged Craigslist diaper creep may get plea deal on lewdness, indecent exposure charges

HAMPTON — A Hooksett man charged with faking a brain injury to trick a home care worker into changing his diaper may be working toward a plea deal before his case heads to superior court.

Eric Carrier, 24, is expected to appear before a judge on Nov. 7 for a probable cause hearing on a single count of felony indecent exposure and lewdness.

But court documents indicate that lawyers are already working on a possible plea deal for him, which could also resolve similar cases against him.

Last year, Carrier was charged with indecent exposure for soliciting five other women by posing as a disabled person on the website Craigslist, according to police. He was convicted of indecent exposure in one of those cases on July 30, police said.

Carrier was arrested again by Hampton police on Sept. 20 after he allegedly responded to an advertisement on Craigslist, police said.

Carrier claimed to be a 22-year-old disabled man who could not control his bowel movements due to a brain injury.

The 30-year-old Nashua woman, who met up with Carrier on Sept. 12, grew suspicious of Carrier's behavior and later notified police.

Carrier allegedly asked the woman if she would change his soiled undergarment in an attempt to expose himself, according to police.

Carrier was charged with one felony, but court documents indicate that there are two victims — the 30-year-old Nashua woman and a 28-year-old Hampton woman. A judge ordered Carrier to have no contact with both women. The charge is a Class B felony, punishable by up to 3½ to 7 years in state prison. Hooksett police said they received reports from several other women during their investigation last year, but could not go forward with those cases because they were beyond the statute of limitations.
