Dover man apprehended this weekend for robbery Friday morning
DOVER – Police arrested a local man Saturday for allegedly robbing a Tedeschi's Food Shop early Friday morning.
Christopher A. Ross, 18, was charged with armed robbery in connection with an incident at the market at 530 Central Avenue which occurred Friday around 1:49 a.m.
After viewing the surveillance video, investigators were able to identify Ross by the help of a tip and determine that he allegedly displayed “what appeared to be a black handgun” to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the store on foot, according to police.
Investigators were able to connect Ross to the robbery and discovered there was a warrant for Ross for a probation violation, which led to his apprehension at the intersection of Central Avenue and Oak Street Saturday, according to police.
Ross, who refused bail, was held at the Strafford County Jail and was scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Dover District Court.
