Romney, Ryan to visit Manchester Monday
MANCHESTER – Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his running mate, seven-term U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, will be in the Queen City Monday morning to hold a joint town hall meeting.
The event will be Romney’s 100th town hall, according to campaign spokesman Ryan Williams, with his first held at UNH Manchester.
The location of the event has not been finalized.
“Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan look forward to returning to New Hampshire and discussing their bold vision for a stronger America and a more prosperous economy,” said Williams.
Romney was last in New Hampshire July 21, the day after the Colorado movie theater shootings.
Ryan was last in New Hampshire in February 2010 for a fundraiser for the New Hampshire GOP at the home of former Gov. John H. Sununu in Salem.
Ryan and Romney were scheduled to be in New Hampshire Friday for the vice-presidential announcement, but Ryan instead attended a memorial service for the victims of the shootings at the Sikh temple in his home state of Wisconsin.
Ryan’s selection was instead announced in Virginia.
