Metrowest Daily: Beer loan spurs basil donation
Nice gesture, you say, but people do nice things all the time. OK, so it's a little unusual that a guy from New Hampshire would feel compelled to drive all the way to Framingham to give Pearl Street Cupboard & Cafe customers a bunch of basil. And it's not every day a food donor brings along recipes cards with ideas on how to use his donation to add zing to basic meals. Still, it's not like he gave the United Way a million bucks to feed the hungry.
