NYT: After particle search finds Higgs boson, NH physicist awaits his winnings
As reported last fall, Dr. Janet Conrad had bet her colleague Frank Wilczek, of New Hampshire, a physics Nobelist in 2004, 10 chocolate Nobel coins that the Standard Model Higgs boson did not exist. On July 4 she realized she was going to have to pay. Dr. Wilczek, who is in New Hampshire, has not seen the chocolates either, but he said they had been delivered to his office.
