Man seriously hurt on Goffstown lake
GOFFSTOWN — A SeaDoo passenger is in serious condition after being thrown into Glen Lake Sunday afternoon, along with the ski-craft’s female driver.
The State Police Marine Patrol reported both the 29-year-old driver and 40-year-old passenger fell into the lake just after noon while the watercraft was making a turn.
Neither were wearing mandatory life preservers, authorities said.
The man had difficulty swimming, sinking below the water’s surface. According to a Marine Patrol news release, onlookers rescued the pair and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the man once on shore until first responders arrived.
The man, who was admitted to Elliot Hospital, remains in serious condition. The woman was treated and released at the Manchester hospital, according to the news release.
A Marine Patrol dispatcher refused to release the identities of the individuals Sunday night, citing the ongoing investigation.
Goffstown Fire & Rescue, Goffstown Police and the New Hampshire Marine Patrol responded.
The Marine Patrol asks anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them at (603) 293-2037, option zero.
