Man injured in Auburn motorcycle accident flown to Boston
AUBURN — A 45-year old man, who apparently lost control of his motorcycle Sunday about 8:20 p.m., suffered head trauma and was med-flighted from the scene to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
“The operator lost control of the motorcycle, in the area of 471 Chester Road, and laid it down on its side,” said Auburn Fire Chief Bruce Phillips in a phone interview. “He was not wearing a helmet and suffered trauma, an isolated head injury and required the med-flight out.”
It was the second motorcycle-related accident with a 24-hour span in the town, according to Phillips.
