Merrimack man charged in crash that severed utility pole
MERRIMACK - A man who crashed his car into a utility pole, injuring himself and two passengers, turned himself into police who had a warrant for his arrest for reckless driving.
Byron Morse, 19, of 7 Templeton Court, was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail.
The crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. Friday at 41 Wilson Hill Road. Morse was driving a 1993 Honda Accord when he lost control and struck a utility pole, splitting it in two and causing a power outage in the immediate area.
Morse and his two juvenile passengers, whom police did not identify in a press release, were transported to local hospitals for treatment of what appear to be non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The accident remains under investigation.
