Meredith bank awards Habitat grant



The Meredith Village Savings Bank Fund recently awarded a $3,545 grant to Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity. Grant funds will be used to upgrade current scaffolding to meet OSHA safety standards.

Credit union launches free payment service



PORTSMOUTH — Service Credit Union recently launched Popmoney, a free person-to-person payment service. Popmoney lets Service Credit Union members send money to others by using an email address, mobile number or account number. Funds can be transferred easily between accounts either at Service Credit Union or another financial institution.

Warner company wins green business honor



GILFORD — A printing company from Warner and the Department of Environmental Services were recognized for their work to keep New Hampshire green recently during Greenerpalooza V at the Meadowbrook US Cellular Pavilion.

R.C. Brayshaw and Company, which opened 33 years ago this month in the old Waterloo train station, received the Green Business of the Year award.

Department of Environmental Service Commissioner Thomas Burack accepted the recognition for his agency on its 25th anniversary.

Rehab celebrates its first anniversary



PORTSMOUTH — Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network at Pease International Tradeport recently celebrated its first anniversary. The facility provides care to patients in need of specialized rehabilitation services following an illness or injury.

IT company acquires Hampton business



HAMPTON — Zak Enterprises, an IT recycling and data security business based in San Francisco, Calif., recently purchased the UNTHA America RS30 shredder and is now able to offer total destruction of hard drives, tapes and other data retention materials. Located in Hampton, UNTHA shredding technology America, Inc. is a division of the Austrian-based UNTHA shredding technology GmbH.
