MANCHESTER — Preventing a four-game sweep is the goal for the Fisher Cats.

The team’s struggles since returning from the All-Star break continued Saturday night. A crowd of 7,718 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium watched the Fishers quickly fall behind by three runs en route to a 9-1 loss against the Portland Sea Dogs.

The Fishers (38-63) surrendered three runs apiece in the second, fifth and seventh innings, and lost their fourth straight game.

Portland’s Reynaldo Rodriguez (3-for-5, three RBIs) led a 14-hit attack and finished a triple shy of the cycle. Matt Spring’s three-run shot in the second fueled Portland’s quick start.

Rodriguez’s two-run blast in the fifth staked the Sea Dogs to a 6-1 lead.

Brad Glenn scored New Hampshire’s run. He singled to start the fourth and scored on Kenen Bailli’s groundout.

Fishers starter Johan Pino (5-5) worked five innings in the loss. He allowed six earned runs on nine hits.

Drake Britton improved to 2-3, scattering six hits over seven innings for the Sea Dogs (45-56).

Koby Clemens made his first start at catcher since his transfer last Thursday from High-A Dunedin. He was 0-for-2 with a walk.
