Claremont accident victim identified
CLAREMONT — Police have identified the victim of Friday's workplace accident at Canam Steel as Scott Bates, age 41, of Claremont.
Bates was pinned under a trailer at the River Road site about 1:30 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Valley Regional Hospital, but he died of his injuries.
Claremont Police Chief Alexander Scott said the matter is still under investigation.
The New Hampshire Medical Examiner's Office and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration were called to assist.
