Eight arrested in Nashua drug sweep
NASHUA — Police arrested eight people last week on drug charges after several separate investigations into the sale of controlled drugs.
The investigations were conducted by detectives of the Narcotics Intelligence Division over several months.
The eight people arrested May 22 and 23 are:
- Christopher Hughes, 22, of 21 Franklin St., three counts of sale of a narcotic drug, heroin, second offense within a school zone. Bail was set at $75,000 cash/surety, and he was arraigned May 23 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- Patrick Hennessey, 45, of 89 Walnut St., one count of sale of a narcotic drug, suboxone, second offense. Bail was set at $25,000 cash/surety, and he was arraigned May 23 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- Howard Chilless, 57, of 57 Palm St., one count of sale of a narcotic drug, fentanyl. Chilless was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned June 19 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- James Penta, 51, of 22 Kessler Farm Drive, three counts of sale of a narcotic drug, cocaine, one of which was within a school zone. Bail was set at $50,000 cash/surety, and he was arraigned May 23 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- Calvin Mwangi, 23, of 95 Harbor Ave., two counts of sale of a controlled drug, marijuana. Mwangi was released on $10,000 cash/surety bail and will be arraigned June 19 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- Darrell Booth, 44, of 93 Kinsley St., two counts of sale of a narcotic drug, heroin, second offense, and one count of sale of a narcotic drug, cocaine, second offense. Booth refused bail and was arraigned May 23 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- Anna Bourque, 24, of 62 W. Hollis St., one count of sale of a narcotic drug, heroin, second offense. Bourque refused bail and was arraigned May 23 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
- Kelcey Przybyla, 36, of 132 Pine St., two counts of sale of a narcotic drug, heroin. Przybyla, whose bail was set at $50,000 cash/surety, was arraigned May 23 at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
More arrests are expected.
Citizens are urged to call the Narcotics Hotline at 594-3597 or utilize the Nashua Police Department’s website, Nashuapd.com, with any information concerning illegal drug activity.
