BRENTWOOD — A Salem man facing burglary charges has agreed to be held without bail days after he was arrested for barricading himself inside a home on May 10.

Michael Green, 36, made a brief court appearance on Friday, prompted by county prosecutors moving to revoke bail in Rockingham County Superior Court.

His latest arrest for criminal mischief violated his bail conditions to remain trouble free while he awaited trial for allegedly burglarizing a home in Salem on the night of Feb. 1.

Green's mother called Salem police on May 10, saying her son was intoxicated, armed with a knife and attempting to kick in the door to get inside, according to police. When officers arrived, Green was inside the North Main Street home and refused to come out. Police convinced him to come out after about 15 minutes and he was taken into custody.

Green reacted in a similar way when Salem police caught him burglarizing a home on the night of Feb. 1 with Robyn DiChicco, 28, of Malden, Mass., police said.

The couple had loaded their car full of household valuables, jewelry and electronics when police arrived at the home. DiChicco surrendered to police outside of the house, but Green refused to come out, police said.

Green and DiChicco are each facing felony charges of burglary and receiving stolen property. Green faces an additional charge of resisting arrest. DiChicco was also charged with drug possession for allegedly having a quantity of cocaine.

Neighbors called Salem police around 11:53 p.m. when they saw Green and DiChicco going in and out of the house, police said.

The homeowners were on vacation at the time, police said.

Police said the couple's car was parked in the driveway, packed from floor to ceiling.

A large screen TV, coats, a toaster, jewelry and food were already in the car, police said. Diamond earrings, gold and valuable coins were also taken, police said.

Officers struggled with Green inside the home before taking him into custody.

Police found several stolen items in Green's pocket including a class ring and a desk paperweight for a 1957 Lawrence High School Hall of Fame inductee, something the homeowner apparently earned in high school, police said.

Green was on probation from a 2011 arrest for cocaine possession at the time of his arrest on Feb. 1. He has prior convictions dating back to 2005 for shoplifiting and drug possession. DiChicco is being held on $10,000 bail.
