Officer on paid leave in domestic investigation
HAMPSTEAD — A Hampstead police officer has been placed on paid administrative leave while state police investigate a domestic incident that occurred earlier this week.
Officer Kathleen Boulter was put on leave after state police were called to a Main Street residence Monday, according to Hampstead Police Lt. John Frazier.
State Police Lt. Gary Wood said Boulter’s boyfriend called state police and asked them to respond, but did not provide more details of the incident. Wood also said he didn’t know the exact address, but said it was her boyfriend’s residence.
“We’re trying to figure out what transpired,” Wood said. “To the best of my knowledge, the boyfriend called and requested state police respond there.”
Wood said he couldn’t provide more details about the incident, and initially referred calls to Paul Brodeur at the state Attorney General’s Office. Brodeur said Friday that his office wasn’t investigating the incident.
“We were advised of the potential, but didn’t receive anything further,” Brodeur said.
