MANCHESTER - A city man accused of kidnapping his pregnant ex-girlfriend from her New Boston home Monday and driving around for hours with her in the back of a Chevy Trailblazer, bound hand and foot, was arraigned Tuesday in 9th Circuit Court, Manchester District Division, on a felony charge of kidnapping and a misdemeanor violation of a protective order.
Christopher Long, 29, of 156 Kenberma St., could enter no plea to the felony charge, so a probable cause hearing was set for May 30. Trial on the misdemeanor was set for Aug. 7.
Bail was set at $100,000 cash only for Long, who also threatened the 18-year-old with a gun during her nearly six-hour ordeal.
