"Let's go fly a kite"
Prescott Park Arts Festival held a free Kite Picnic titled "Let's Go Fly a Kite" in Exeter at Swasey Parkway on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017. During this community celebration, where the road was closed to vehicular traffic for the event, people could bring their own kites or get kites there and then decorate them, receive demonstrations on kite flying, play games, play with bubbles, hear live music, have refreshments, get their faces painted, play in a bounce house and more. The weather was just breezy enough to get the kites aloft. Mary Poppins and Bert themselves were on hand to greet people, too, from the summer production that is still going on now and for a few more weeks at the Portsmouth performance space. To learn more about the musical and other performances going on this summer, see prescottpark.org for more information.Photo 1 of 7 From left are Evelyn Oliver and Cody Garcia, as Mary Poppins and Bert, respectively, during Prescott Park Arts Festival's kite picnic titled "Let's Go Fly a Kite" in Exeter at Swasey Parkway on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.
