Manchester’s Wenyen Gabriel, who entered Thursday night’s NBA draft but was not selected, may have a deal brewing with the Sacramento Kings.
Gabriel, who played at Trinity High School before leaving for prep school and then spending two years at the University of Kentucky, said Friday on Twitter “Coming to SAC!” without being specific about what that means.
Right after the conclusion of Thursday’s draft, Gabriel tweeted, “OK bet, ima make em all regret.”
Gabriel, a 6-foot-9 forward, averaged 5.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in two seasons with the Wildcats.
Three of Gabriel’s Kentucky teammates were drafted: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Knox and Hamidou Diallo.
