Both drivers hurt after car strikes trooper's cruiser on I-293

HOOKSETT — A state trooper and another driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries Friday night after a passenger sedan struck a cruiser on the northbound side of Interstate 293, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The accident happened about 10 p.m. just south of the split with I-93.

The female driver of a gray, four-door Subaru was transported to a local hospital by a Manchester AMR ambulance for treatment, police said.

A Hooksett ambulance brought the trooper to the hospital.

The crash is under investigation, according to state police Capt. Nathan Noyes.

The ramp leading to I-93 south was closed until about 11 p.m. while first responders cleared the scene.
