MANCHESTER -- The Altoona Curve forced extra innings on Jerrick Suiter's one-out, two-run double in the ninth inning, then scored the decisive run on Cole Tucker's RBI single in the 10th in a 6-5 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Sunday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.
Reese McGuire had a double and two singles, and Anthony Alford collected a double and single for the Fisher Cats, who lost two of three in the series against Altoona and went 3-3 on the homestand.
New Hamphire hits the road for a three-game series in Binghamton beginning Monday night.
The Fisher Cats return home on Thursday night for a four-game series with Hartford, their final games of the 2017 season.
Tanner Anderson (9-8) worked two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win for the Curve. Jose Fernandez (1-1) was tagged with the loss after both Shane Dawson and Andrew Case blew save opportunities.
New Hampshire starter Ryan Borucki went six innings and allowed five hits and two runs. He left with a 3-2 lead.
