Motorcyclist killed in Saturday crash identified as Manchester man

MANCHESTER — Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash Saturday afternoon at Montgomery Street and Goffstown Road as a city man, Richard Frink, 58.

Frink and his passenger, Deborah Smith, 51, were taken to Catholic Medical Center, where Frink died of his injuries.

Smith was transported by a Med Flight helicopter to Boston Medical Center, where she was in critical condition Monday.

Police said neither Frink nor Smith were wearing helmets.

The motorcycle was traveling east on Goffstown Road when it collided with a 1995 Ford Contour in the intersection at Montgomery Street.

The operator of the Ford, Mary Johnson, 58, and her passenger, Robert Uhmel, 50, both of Manchester, were not injured in the crash, which occurred at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 668-8711.
