HUDSON — A passenger was taken to an area hospital following a rollover crash on Central Street in Hudson early Sunday afternoon.
Police and fire officials were called to the area near 291 Central St. shortly after noontime on Sunday. Upon their arrival, emergency crews discovered a pickup truck had veered off the main roadway, coming to a rest on the driver’s side with its roof resting against a granite ledge.
“Due to the position of the vehicle, the rescue prove difficult,” Hudson Fire Capt. David Morin said on Sunday, noting that the truck’s windshield was pressed up against the ledge on impact.
Firefighters were able to remove the vehicle’s two occupant using hydraulic tools to cut their way through the windshield.
One of the truck’s occupants was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening, while another appeared to be uninjured and was released at the scene.
Crews from the Nashua Fire Department provided station coverage.
The incident remains under investigation, though excessive speed may have contributed to the crash, officials said.
