NHIAA Roundup: McCown, Central girls tip Memorial in OT

Jordan McCown scored three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as Manchester Central defeated Manchester Memorial, 14-13, in a girls' lacrosse match at Livingston Park in Manchester Tuesday.
Sarah Thompson led the Little Green with seven goals while Maggie McGovern had two. Central evened its record at 3-3. Memorial (0-7) was led by Caitlin Petro with four goals.
Goffstown 16, Timberlane 5: In Goffstown, the Grizzlies (3-2) toppled the Owls (2-5) behind Faith Francouer (4 goals, 1 assist). The winners also received goals from Ellie Sudak, MacKenzie Chu, Sydney Gagnon, Bri Proulx, Anne Steckowych, Katy Kalevitch, Sarah Cuddy, and Sydney Dubois.
Bishop Guertin 12, Winnacunnet 9: At Hampton, Kristin Cameron and Callie Santos scored hat tricks in a well-played Division II contest. Mia Vecchione caused three turnovers and collected three ground balls for the Cardinals (5-2). Winnacunnet dropped to 5-2.
Souhegan 18, Concord 4: At Amherst, the Sabers established a 10-goal lead by halftime, and Mickenzie Larivee finished with six goals and four assists. Madison Learned and Jesse Jay each had four goals for Souhegan (8-1). Lexi Erickson scored twice for Concord, which fell to 2-6.
Hanover 21, Keene 3: In Keene Monday, Hanover remained unbeaten at 8-0. Ellen Malloy led Keene with two goals.
Portsmouth 20, Goffstown 9: In Portsmouth Monday, MacKenzie Chu led Goffstown with three goals. Sydney Gagnon had two goals and two assists. Courtney Caron, Sydney Dubois, Lexi Foster, and Katy Kalevitch each notched a goal.
Nashua North 20, Nashua South 6: At Nashua, Kara Upton and Jexi Williams each scored four goals as the Titans dominated at Stellos Stadium. Nashua North (4-4) didn't allow a goal in the second half. Colleen Rottman led winless Nashua South with three goals.
Bedford 17, Oyster River 6: At Bedford, Dan Colella scored five goals and teammate Taylor Wallace added two goals and two assists for the Bulldogs (9-0). Aidan Conrad tallied two goals for Oyster River of Durham, which dropped to 2-4 in Division II.
Derryfield 21, Monadnock 1: At East Swanzey, Matt Milne piled up seven goals and four assists as Derryfield School of Manchester improved to 8-0. Jake Poulin scored in the first quarter for host Monadnock (5-3).
John Stark 10, Milford 4: At Weare, Colbey Decotis led the John Stark offense with five goals, while Matt Richard added two goals and one assist. The Generals (4-3) were led defensively by Cooper Bourque and goalie August Colburn, who recorded 12 saves.
Goffstown 18, Spaulding 5: At Rochester, Goffstown's Brad Chapdelain zipped three goals past Spaulding goalie Colton Castonguay and assisted two more goals as the Grizzlies improved to 5-1. Mitch Cusson also had a hat trick, and Goffstown goalie Andrew Chretien made eight saves.
Windham 14, West 13: At Windham, Anthony Gallo scored six goals, and Jaguars goalie Ben Gallo made 17 saves in a back-and-forth battle in Division III. The Jaguars improved to 4-5. Joe Clement led West with five goals, while Zach Ziemba had four goals and two assists. West fell to 1-7.
Franklin 5, Newfound 2: In Bristol Monday, Franklin (1-6) won its first game of the year behind Craig Lebrun's 10 strikeout performance. Lebrun allowed four hits and helped his cause with two hits on offense. Myles Lynch (three hits) gave Franklin the lead with a two-run double in the sixth inning.
Monadnock 3, ConVal 2 (9 innings): In Peterborough Monday, Jeff Williams of Monadnock pitched all nine innings and out-dueled Ivon Clough who pitched seven frames for ConVal (4-3). Monadnock is 5-1.
Bedford 8, Concord 5 (11 innings): In Concord Monday, Nick Angelini had a two-run double for the Bulldogs. In the 11th inning, winning pitcher Ben Philibrick singled in a run and A.J. Spagnuolo squeezed home another runner. Andy Lalonde sent the game into extra frames with a two-out, RBI hit in the sixth inning for Bedford (5-3). Cody Ferns of Concord (6-2) collected two hits.
Pinkerton 12, Keene 0 (5 inns): In Derry, Kaylie DeCosmo collected three hits and drove in four runs. Kelly Fitzsimmons and winning pitcher Sam Hennequin each drove in two runs for the 4-5 Astros. Steph Varno had the lone hit for 0-7 Keene.
Gilford 9, Winnisquam 1: In Gilford Monday, the Eagles (6-1) were led by Sydney Strout who allowed three hits. Lisa Osborne, Caitlin Houston, Abby Harris (two) and Sarah Lachapelle each had RBI hits.
Timberlane 4, Nashua North 1: At Nashua, starting pitcher Madison Bishop earned the win, and reliever Kate Hoadley struck out five of seven batters to close out the win. Kayla Durkee led the Owls offense with two RBIs. Timberlane of Plaistow improved to 10-0, while Nashua North dropped to 1-7.
