OSSIPEE — A Wolfeboro man faces felony criminal mischief and reckless conduct charges after police said he recently used his front-end loader to push a truck onto its side, away from his business and several hundred feet down Route 16.
Edward Evans, 55, was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail following his arrest on three counts of misdemeanor simple assault, a reckless operation violation and the two felony counts.
Sgt. Anthony Castaldo said Evans had been upset and assaulted staff at his business and then got angry about a truck that had been parked in his business at 801 Route 16 for several days.
Officials said Evans used his business’s loader to tip the truck over and then push it into another business’s parking lot down the street.
Someone followed and filmed Evans in the act of pushing the truck and posted it on social media Feb. 22. An investigation led to Evans’ arrest, officials said.
