Police seek hit-and-run driver who struck teen in Rochester

ROCHESTER — Police are looking for the driver who struck a 16-year-old boy on Little Falls Bridge Road Saturday evening and then fled the scene.

The boy was lying on the side of the road when first responders got to the scene but he was conscious and alert, according to a news release. He told officers he had been walking on the shoulder of the road when a vehicle came from the direction of Farmington Road and hit him.

He described the vehicle as a blue Toyota Corolla-type car, possibly driven by a woman.

The youth was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Officer Hunter Roy at 330-7328.
